Create your own sculpted prim stream

The other day I posted a quick video showing my experiments with sculpted prim water , and there has been quite a response. Every time I’ve logged on since then I get at least one message asking about buying something similar. So I spent a few hours getting the objects ready for sale.

What I came up with was this Sculpted Prim Stream Construction Kit. 8 different pre-built sections of river that can be easily arranged into your own custom strean. Everything is copy and modified enable and easy to combine. Just drag and drop the pieces and fit them together! More advanced builders can use the individual piece to customize until their heart’s content.

This video is a quick advert showing how quickly you can create your own stream or river. I built and decorated both of the streams in this video in less than 15 minutes. You can buy the Sculpted Stream Construction Kit at my FloraPrims shop in Turin Isle. The sculpted river I created for this video is still rezzed on my workshop platform in Caledon, too.

Thanks, Caelestaeia.

I’m really having a blast using the sculpted prims. I feel like a newbie again - discovering how to twist a torus. :D

Excellent Vlad.. well done. ive been considering what would be possible rotating a sculptie water surface prim with one or more textures animated on it, only chossing rotation because sculptie animation sucks right now, 2D texture animation is just years ahead still.

One can get smooth rotation though, which would enable more complex wave and water design. Such use, would have to be specific for a particular area, so what you have made available is just great to see.

THanks, Icony. I think a rotating sculpted prim is a great idea! You could get some neat variations and shapes of the water, Might have to hide most of the rotating prims underground, but that is not a big problem.

You could def. get a smoother motion that trying to animated the sculpties. I’ve experimented with some animated sculpties, and it is very difficult to get smooth animation. My best results have been with a sculpted shape that uses the Quicktime media stream to control to shape. here’s a quick videos of it in action…

hey Vlad, what a great idea for the sculptie-challenged (*cough* like ME) to help us utilize some of the possibilities in the form.

This is absolutely wonderful!

And speaking of waves… I can’t help but see a sculptured wave (especially one that can be surfed) would be simply awesome.

Ok, I’m going back to watching the water trickle down the side of the hill.
