Plop down some hand-drawn sculpties

I just stumbled across this sculpty creation tool called PloppSL. It’s a funky little drawing program that sort of pumps up your flat, 2D image into a 3D object. Then you can export your creation to Second Life’s Sculpted Prim format - both the sculptmap file and the texture. It’s a neat effect and could be used to create some cool cartoony, organic style sculpties.

This free sotware is for Windows computers. It’s a bit skimpy on documentation and rough around the edges, but it should only take you a few minutes to figure out what all the buttons do. You can also create your image in another program then import it into PloppSL to be 3D-ified. Very cool idea. After a  bit of experimentation it’s really just like drawing in a coloring book.
