Wonderfully Colorful

Alice in Wonderland in Second Life

I received an IM from Gorgeous Yongho the other day. She wanted say how much she like my flowers and offered to let me build small garden at her La Reina Boardwalk shopping center. I am a sucker for a compliment and it sounded like a fun project.

We talked for a while and decided to build a bright, colorful garden in small alleyway between two shops. She also mentioned that she’d originally had an Alice in Wonderland theme in mind for the spot. We combined our ideas and came up with a beautiful little spot packed with color and character.

I found some public domain Alice in Wonderland Images created by Rakham, created some nifty flower petal borders, planted a few of my flowers, and incorporated a few of the items that Gorgeous had already placed in the area. I especially like the sculpture by Gorgeous’ friend Lash Xevious. I have always admired her work and it was an added bonus to meet the sculptress. You’ll have to find out for yourself what secret lies behind the tiny door. :)

I love little projects like this. Random collaborations that result in new friendships and new opportunities to explore the possibilities of Second Life.
