I was happy to see this bit of news this morning (via Massively): The Lindens are still working on Avatar Puppeteering. This will be a way to control and animate your Av in-world using a nifty simulated physics system . Sort of like having Poser or Qavimator available inside of second life. We’ll be able to make up our own poses and create gestural movements on the fly. Shiny.

I was playing in poser the other day wishing that we could do live posing in SL – glad to see it may be in the works!

HI Fianna. yeah, it would be so awesome to be able to create poses and gestures on the fly in-world. It looks like the code that supports this Pupeteering has been released by SL – in a rough form. Maybe this will speed up the development of a final working version. Here’s a link to an article about this:
