Mermaid Diaries
I happened on this stash of SL tutorials created by Natalia Zelemanov. She runs a cute, pink site called Mermaid Diaries. She has created quite a few informative tutorials covering everything from shoes, hair, and clothes to sculpties and particles. Definitely worth a look.
Oh yes, Natalia’s the best! I’ve learned a lot from her tutorials.

Absolutely the best “HOW do I do that in SL?” tutorials. Whether one wants to make a dress, animate an avatar or sculpt a prim, she probably has an easy to understand “start up” tutorial, usually using free or at least inexpensive programs.
Of particular interest to the sculpting set is her series on Wings3D–she demonstrates how to import an object from Rokuro, use the basic Wings commands, and then create a UV map to assist with texturing. Of course, that led me on the slippery slope to eventually buying Zbrush–now I am no doubt forever doomed. So, you have been warned.
