The Interwebs are all abuzz with news of Google’s new 3D chat room, Lively. Seems like every news outlet on the web is comparing Lively to Second Life, or at least mentioning SL in the blurb about the new service. I could go on about how it’s nothing like SL, how Lively is aimed at a totally different audience, how the comparisons to SL are totally off base. But I won’t.
I’ll just point you to Gwyneth Llewelyn’s post about the subject. As usual she has a well thought out, fact filled, spot-on analysis of the situation.

Now, I wonder how many bad puns we can create with “Lively” in them… I’m pretty sure that this was in Google’s mind when they started using the name for their brand ;)
