I just wanted to point out this post from the official Linden Lab blog for those of you who may have missed it. Looks like there are some big changes coming to the SL mainland – including Zoning covenants and tighter restrictions on advertisers. Sounds like a good idea to me, as long as some of the mainland is left wild and chaotic. :) I kind of like the idea of a free for all area of the grid and would hate to see it disappear completely.
Jack Linden has anticipated a lot of discussion around this topic so he has opened up a special forum thread just to discuss this post. This is the second time in a week or so that the Lindens have taken advantage of the forums for conversation and feedback. I hope that this trend continues.
