Finally, with a decent computer, an up-to-date editing software package (Premiere Elements, does me just fine), a bit of time and an understanding girlfriend, I have been able to get around to turning my hand to some editing. I last did some about 7-8 years ago at college when i made a 45-minute documentary as a project, and didn’t appreciate just how important the editing process was in creating an overall piece of work – I’d just assumed that creative camerawork and clever lighting was often enough. Wrong!
SL provides a hell of a lot of resources for being able to bring ideas to life, or to even inspire new ones. I hope to be able to get some more bits done soon. It’s been as wonderful seeing everyone’s favourable comments and reactions to my work; thank you for being one of them!

I think that the editing of a video is as important – if not more important – than the actual captured images. It’s so much fun , too! Feels great to actually have control of a video after so many years of just being able to watch video.
I need to work more on SL vids, especially since my RL vid cam got crushed by a flying skateboard a while back. o.O
