All of you zBrushers out there will be happy to know that 2k Suisei has released a new version of his zBrush converter plugin, zSculpty. Biggest new feature is support for the new ‘oblong’ sculpty mesh sizes. 2k says it’s a bit rough around the edges, so you might want to keep your old version of zSculpty handy in case this new one doesn’t work.
“Since adding support for the new dimensions the convertor is a little wobbly. I suggest before making anything serious you should play around with it and get a feel for what’s possible. Otherwise you may spend a day making something wonderful only to find that the convertor doesn’t like it. This could then force you to write nasty death threats to me.”
To help you get up to speed, Ponk Bing has posted a short tutorial on the SL forums about some of the new features. I’ve just now downloaded the plugin and will be experimenting with it tonight. I’ll report back with any interesting deiscoveries. Looks like there is also a new version of the in-world Sculpty Rezzer that automatically applies textures, too.
* Please remember that 2k does not offer any guarantees or support for these tools. If you have problems or questions, please post them on the Sculpty Maker page or the SL Forums.

Do you have an updated link to Ponks tutorial, I cant find it there?
sorry filthy, I guess that bit of info is in limbo – like everything else from the old SL forums. LL has promised to repost the archived version of the old forums soon.
