More pics from our 4th freeform building session.  Had quite a few onlookers this time around, some a bit too shy to build I think. :) Maybe next time they will join in the fun.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much fun this Collabrication is. So great to just relax and build without worrying about prim counts or if the creation in turning out ‘right’. There is no right. hehe  Plus, there is quite a bit of creative inspiration going around. Great ideas and energy coming from the group!

All of these spiffy creations will be rezzed until this weekend, so stop by and have a look-see if you are so inclined. You can even add your own ideas to the mix. Next sessions will be SAturday the 13th at 11am and Sunay at 5pm SL time. See ya there.

The weekend is approaching quickly – wow what a quick week – and I am scheduling another Collabricate session. Come on by this Saturday the 6th at 11am SL time for another experiment in interactive, collaborative building. This week’s theme is: Mother Nature.

I think we might try a new structured experiment this time in addition to the freeform doodling. I’ve been thinking of ways that we might remove some of the ‘taboo’ of working on other people’s objects by injecting a few rules into a build. For instance we might try working on a piece where everyone gets a turn to add or change something. A bit like the Exquisite Cadaver game used by surrealist and Dada artists.

Remember that all skill levels are welcome, you can even come by to spectate if ya like. See ya there. :)

AC3D is trey cool

AC3D is turning into a very useful Second Life tool. You can use it to create sculpted prims, export existing geometry to SL objects, or use this nifty plugin to model a scene using boxes in AC3D  then transfer it automatically to Second Life. These three plugins are all free, and the AC3D software is cheap. You can download a free trial version, too.
